IT Architecture Principles have been developed for the University by the IT Architecture Group (ITAG) and approved by the IT Committee. They are a set of guidelines to help get the best from our IT investments. It is hoped that they will assist decision-making by the University IT community in technical design, delivery and maintenance.
The principles are applicable to IT across the University and, as such, it is anticipated that they will be used:
- by those responsible for IT projects to ensure the principles are applied during the design and delivery of projects;
- to inform IT decision-making within faculties and departments of the University;
- as guidelines to inform good practice.
The principles are available from the ITAG SharePoint site (requires Single Sign On).
The ITAG welcomes feedback on any aspect of the principles, please contact the Secretary of ITAG in the first instance (firstname.lastname@example.org).
