There are a number of different versions of Microsoft Office in use around the University. Although we don't have the resources to deliver all of our taught courses in all versions, other learning resources are available for different versions.
We offer classroom-based courses in Office 2013 as part of the IT Learning Centre: you can view scheduled dates in our course booking system. If you use a different version from that used in our taught course, do still attend, as much of the material will easily transfer. Our Office 2010 course handbooks, with exercise files and support material, will remain online, so you can still download them from the ITLC Portfolio (see below).
All members of the University can access a vast collection of online courses, at no cost, through the lynda.com platform. This is a vast online library of instructional videos covering the latest software. Taught by accomplished teachers and recognised industry experts, lynda.com is a high-quality resource for students, academics, and staff looking to develop skills in Microsoft Office and many other applications. Different versions of Office are covered, including Office for the Mac.
lynda.com doesn’t have the benefits of an ITLC teacher giving you the context of using IT in an Oxford setting, so we encourage you to come along to some of our classroom-based courses, but it does give you access to excellent 24/7 learning.
ITLC Portfolio (self-guided learning)
Our ITLC Portfolio gives you access to many of the learning resources that we use in our classroom-based courses, including training materials for Office 2010 and 2013.
