If you are new to the University, there are a variety of resources available to support you.
Our Welcome to IT sub-site talks you through the essential information you need from "What is Nexus?" and "How does an SSO work?" to "How do I get free software?" This also includes some student specific information, such as "What should I bring?"
See also Oxford Students: a section on the University website providing a single point of access to information, services and resources for current students.
IT Services run termly Breakfast at IT Services introductory sessions. Over croissants and coffee, we will introduce you to the many important services that are available to you for your work or research. There will also be a chance to chat to IT staff and other newcomers. New staff should receive an invitation or you can book online.
We recommend you work through the online information security awareness module (compulsory for UAS staff) to become aware of issues around information security and how they affect you.
The University Staff Gateway provides a one-stop shop to a range of resources, useful information and facilities for new staff on a range of topics.
For University Administration and Services (UAS) staff
There is an additional welcome page introducing you to UAS and its workings.
For IT Support Staff
We have a dedicated support team - IT Support Staff Services (ITS3) who run induction sessions, host courses, provide resources and generally help you to support your users.
