Are you organising an event at the University of Oxford and want to reach a wider audience? Our Media Production Service team offers comprehensive filming and livestreaming services to ensure your research, lecture, conference or promotional event gets the attention it deserves.
About the Media Production Service
Our team is here to help with all your video needs. We can:
We prioritise teaching support, public engagement, and promoting University research activities. All our videos can be converted into web formats for podcasts and, if requested, published on our University of Oxford Podcasts site or embedded within any departmental sites.
The team also manages the main University media channels, which have over 5,000 videos, ensuring a smooth filming to publishing process so you don't have to worry about any technical issues. We can also help promote your material to gain greater impact.
Livestreaming service
If you want to reach a wider, or even a global audience, our livestreaming service is perfect for you. EMS provides a live, professionally filmed video stream of your event or conference on the internet.
This chargeable service is ideal for events designed to reach the widest possible audience or for those where the local Oxford audience exceeds the room's capacity. It has been used for alumni events, high-profile keynote talks, conferences and more.
Our team handles all the technical setup, including lights, cameras, and microphones, ensuring a high-quality multi-camera broadcast over the internet.
Our studio spaces
We also have two recording spaces that are perfect for filming interviews or webcasts, and for recording audio and video podcasts.
Our main TV studio is fitted out with the latest lighting and recording technology and is connected to the fast university network for broadcasting webcasts and recording screen presentations with the lecture capture (Replay) technology.
We also have a smaller soundproofed space which is great for audio recording work such as podcasting or voice-overs.
