From finance and HR to undergraduate admissions and student records, there are numerous IT tools and systems that keep the University running. IT Services is involved in several aspects of these business systems.

Infrastructure

We provide the underpinning infrastructure for hundreds of systems, reaching into every corner of the University’s day-to-day life.

Help and support

We coordinate the help and support people need to use our business systems properly. Each group of administrative systems has its own specialist support centre providing user support, training, documentation and updates. We have a service manager responsible for coordinating communications and processes across these support centres.

Security

We make sure that all the support centres for central business IT systems have a consistent and auditable approach to security. We coordinate security, system administration and access management, ensuring that these factors are properly considered when services are being designed.

Strategy

We have representatives on the management groups for various systems, helping to provide strategic and operational support.
