New self-service reporting available for compliance-related training

The IT Learning Centre is launching a new Compliance Report in the Self-Service Training Data Reporting suite, which tells you who, in your department or college has and, for the first time, who has not completed certain compliance-related training courses.

This is an enhancement to the existing Self-Service Training Data Reports suite, which provides authorised staff access to the University's training data for bespoke analysis and reporting. The reports combine data from CoSy, LinkedIn Learning, and other learning platforms with various 'people' datasets such as HR, CUD, and SITS.

The report has been divided into a General Report, which includes courses such as EDU, Information Security and Data Privacy and Research Integrity and a specific Safety Report. You can see the full list of courses in each report.

You will still be able to access reporting data for the full set of training courses available to staff by viewing the Uptake Report.

Why has the Compliance Report been introduced?

The new Compliance Report resolves the ‘negative reporting’ issue, which meant you weren’t able to find out who hadn’t completed certain training courses, which made following up with individuals difficult. It should make department compliance checks easier and quicker and allow department administrators, training providers and course owners to monitor who has and has not completed courses.

Who can use this service?

People with training reporting responsibilities, such as training managers, HR Managers, divisional and departmental administrators and Athena SWAN coordinators and course owners.

How do you access this service?

You will need to complete a Service Request, approved by your departmental administrator, or equivalent, to gain access to the Compliance Report.

If you already use the Self-Service Training Data Reports you will need to complete a new Service Request to access this new Compliance Report.
