The reception role has recently become available for a friendly, flexible helpful and adaptable person who is able to staff the reception that receives visitors to the department. Supported by the wider administration team, the Receptionist will provide comprehensive reception service in Dartington House as well as general administrative support to staff and managers in the department.

Essential selection criteria

  • You must enjoy working with people and have a competent, polite and helpful manner
  • Experience of delivering a good customer service is required
  • Experience of general clerical or administration experience
  • IT literacy: existing skills in Microsoft Office, use of email and internet
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • To have a good telephone manner
  • To have a willingness to learn new skills
  • To be smart and presentable
  • Have a flexible approach and be able to cover additional hours as the operation requires
